A fantastic teaching resource
The Gallery is set to be a fantastic teaching resource for 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ students on all programmes that engage with contemporary art, and an asset for the local community. Dr Richard Noble, Head of the Department of Art explains:
“The Gallery will benefit students in many ways. It will bring a world-class exhibitions programme of artists to 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ. It will have a residency programme that brings artists, curators and scholars to 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ to do projects, very often involving students. It will create opportunities for students to get involved in films, talks and performances.
The Gallery will become a fantastic teaching resource for programmes that engage in one way or another with contemporary art. It will create opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration in research and teaching that will involve and benefit students.
It will make 51³Ô¹ÏÍøºÚÁÏ an even more interesting and intellectually exciting place to be, while connecting it directly to the London art world.â€
